Four killed in different incidents

DERA MURAD JAMALI: Two men were killed in a clash and a woman was shot dead in the name of honour in Nasirabad division on Sunday.

Police said two groups of Umrani tribe took positions against each other in Baba Kot area of Tambo tehsil, Jaffarabad district, and engaged in gunfight. The battie, which continued for an hour, left two men dead and another injured.

Security forces took the bodies and the injured to the hospital. The deceased were identified as Noraiz Ali and Amjad Ali.

The cause of the clash was an old enmity between the two groups, police said. No arrest was made.

In Nisar Khosa village, a man killed his 25-year-old daughter with the help of his sons and brother-in-law.

Police said Ranjhan Umrani opened fire on his daughter outside his home when he saw her with her alleged paramour.

`She suffered multiple bullet injuries and died on the spot,` police said, adding that the alleged paramour escaped.

Ranjhan and his sons also fled, leaving his brother-in-law behind, who was arrested. Police have registered a case.

In Sohbatpur, Khair Mohammad Bhangar suffered serious injuries when his opponents hit him with stones.

He was taken to a hospital where he died. The motive for the killing could not be ascertained.Correspondent
