Two killed in Karachi attack

KARACHI: Two men were killed and as many others injured in an attack in Gulistani-Jauhar area on Thursday night.

Officials said that the four men sustained bullet wounds when unidentified attackers opened fire on them in Block-5 of Gulistan-i-Jauhar.

Three of the injured were taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where doctors pronounced two of them dead on arrival.

The deceased were identified as Zartaj Bangash and Mohammed Ali.

According to sources in the hospital, they were hit by bullets in the head and neck.

Thirdinjured,BashirAhmed, was admitted to hospital.

The fourth person, Aurangzeb, was taken to a private hospital on Stadium Road.

He is the brother of deceased Zartaj Bangash.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Peoples Party Sindh secretary general Waqar Mehdi told Dawn that Zartaj Bangash and Aurangzeb were brothers of their party`s local leader Jehanzeb Bangash.
