PESHAWAR: ANP generalsecretaryMianIftikhar Hussain has asked the youth to follow the non-violence philosophy propagated by Bacha Khan.

Speaking at a youth convention in Warhi area of Upper Dir organised by the National Youth Organisation, a youth wing of ANP, he urged the youth to prepare themselves to shoulder the future responsibilities. This is an age of information and technology so youth should utilise it to enhance their education and awareness, said Mr Iftikhar, according to a pressreleaseissuedhere.

In the convention, 75 youth were elected as the members of the district chapter of NYO.

The ANP leader told the youth to show patience in the face of growing fundamentalism, while referring to the brutal killing of Mashal Khan at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan.

Mian Iftikhar said what could be more tragic than killing of a youth in educational institution.

He said roots of such mentality could be traced to dictatorial regime of Ziaul Haq which propagated extremism.-Bureau Report
