APROPOS the front-page story, `Number of non-Muslim voters shows rise of over 30pc` (May 28). If these figures are accurate, then it is heartening news.
However, I think the number of Parsi voters given in the newspaper, i.e. 4,235, is incorrect. As I belong to the Parsi community and also serve as our representative in the National Assembly, I want to set the record straight.
The actual number of Parsi voters today in Pakistan is no more than 2,000 or maybe even less. I wish 4,235 was the actual number.
