LAHORE:TheShahdara police recovered on Monday body of a young woman from river Ravi.

Some locals spotted the body and informed the police which visited the site along with divers of Rescue 1122.The body was retrieved and shifted to the city morgue for autopsy, a police official said adding that according to the preliminary inquiry she might have committed suicide by throwing herself into the river.

He said the body bore no torture mark. He said efforts were on to trace her identity.
