Shahbaz criticises PTI

LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has chided the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and its leader for doing nothing except staging sitins and protests during the last over four years.

`[Imran] Khan sahib and his PTI have done nothing during the last more than four years except holding sit-ins, mendacity and leveling baseless allegations. Now they are worried about facing the people as the elections are nearer,` Mr Sharif told reporter s on Monday.

`We are inaugurating public wel-fare projects, including hospitals, schools, filter clinics, colleges, infrastructure and transport development schemes every day, while the PTI and Khan Sahib have only wasted time of the people,` he said after a visit to the new state of the art kidney and liver transplant centre here.

He recalled that Niazi sahib alleged that the chief minister had accepted Rs23 billion as bribe from Javed Sadig in a mega project when a legal notice was served on the PTI chief, he could not reply it till today. Then, he said, the allegation of offering Rs10bn as bribe for remaining quiet in Panama case was raised and Niazi Sahib was not appearing before a court of law inthis defamation case too.

He called the PTI chairman as a master of U-turns, falsehood and habitual of telling lies to obstruct the journey of development through sitins and lockdowns.

About the Balochistan government, Mr Sharif said that like the PML-N other political parties would support the democratic process so that publicwelfare projects could be speedily completed and corruption could be eliminated as well.

`It is the beauty of democracy that elected representatives take their own decisions and we are hopeful that the PML-N government shall survive in Balochistan.
