LAHORE: Adviser to the Chief Minister, Khwaja Ahmad Hassaan, inaugurated SAP ERP enterprise resource planning software for ef ficient management of human resource and financial issues in the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Monday.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Hassaan observed that transparency was the hallmark of the governance of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Implementation of SAP ERP would enhance performance of the LDA and improve level of public facilitation being extended by it, he said and underlined need for keeping abreast of the latest technologies and employing new initiatives for improving servicedelivery by the government departments.

Earlier, giving details of the SAP ERP, Additional Director General (HQ) LDA Samia Saleem said through Human Capital Management and Financial Control modules of SAP ERP, a transparenthuman resource and financialenvironment, had been introduced in the LDA.

It is the first-ever development authority in the country where the software had been introduced for data and information. The software will serve as a tool for sustaining service record, pay roll and other benefits being availed by employees besides maintaining accounts, supply chain management, revenue generation and receipts of the authority.
