ACCORDING to a press notification by the interior ministry, arms licences issued before 2011 are to be renewed by Dec 30 and those not renewed will be cancelled.
The interior ministry should clarify whether this order is also applicable to those licences issued before 2011 which have been computerised in 2015 with the expiry date of December 2020.
It should also clarify why some licences computerised in December 2015 on payment of five years` renewal fee have the expiry date of Dec 31, 2019.
