KHAIRPUR: Members of the Khairpur District Bar Association (DBA) boycotted court proceedings soon after an incident of firing on the house of a woman lawyer located near Nim Morr within the city on Wednesday.

Advocate Khursheed Sahito told police that unknown assailants fired shots into her house from outside and one of the bullets hit her mother, Heer Begum, in her left arm. Ms Sahito, who is the treasurer of the Khairpur DBA, believed that the attack was linked with her profession and those involved might be some litigants.-Correspondent
