LAHORE: The Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC) has decided to declare Class IX results on Aug 21 at 10:10am.

The PBCC will also declare results of the Intermediate annual examination for 2014 and Intermediate PartI annual examination for 2014 on Sept 12 and Oct 10, respectively.

TRAINING: The TechnicalEducation and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) plans to provide training to some 500,000 students in four years beginning from the current financial year.

At a ceremony held here on Monday, Tevta chairman Arif Anwar Baloch said the authority would train over 100,000 students during the current academic year.He said the Punjab government wanted that the youth should be imparted training to produce employable skilled workforce responsive to the needs of jobs market locally and abroad. Mr Baloch said training the youth would contribute significantly to poverty alleviation by providing sustainable livelihood chances. Staff Reporter
