EVERYBODY, including the Sindh chief minister, says that Khairpur Mirs` is the largest district in the province. It has eight talukas: Khaipur, Nara, Mirwah, Faiz Ganj, Gambat, Sobhodero, Kot Diji and Kingri.

With the rising population, there is a need for creating more talukas for an efficient running of the administration to ensure allareas do getequalfocus on development.

At present, Piryaloi town and its suburbs, now in Kingri taluka, near the left bank of the Indus, stand neglected. The very existence of the town is at stake.

To attend to the problems of Piryaloi, it is important that a new taluka may be created under the name of Piryan Ji Loi.
