LAHORE: The Punjab Labour and Human Resource department has notified district labour committees under the Punjab Prohibition of Child Labour at Brick Kilns Act, 2016.

The committees to be convened by district coordination officers (DCOs) in their districts consists of district police officer, representatives of Intelligence Bureau and Special Branch and the district of ficer labour.

The department has also notified DCOs of all respective districts as appellate authority under the act to redress the grievances of the occupier of the brick kiln, who prefer an appeal against the sealing of the brick kilns against an order of Inspector.

The department has issued the two notifications on the instructions of the Punjab governor.
