LAHORE: The Punjab government has taken notice of transfer and postings of assistant commissioners, by the divisional commissioners, who have not completed minimum tenure of one year at their respective assignments in contravention of the government policy.

The government has also instructed the divisional commissioners not to post any AC at his home district.

The commissioners have full powers regarding transfer and posting of ACs in their respective divisions, while transfer of ACs from a division to another division is the prerogative of the Punjab government.
