An eyewash

2015-06-26
EVERY year during the holy month, a Ramazan bazaar is organised in almost every city of Punjab. However, this year the relief measure is more of an eyewash.

Basic edible commodities like flour, pulses, dates and fruits are of low quality.

The pulses and dates are infested with insects while the fruits are smelly. The police are there to check prices. This seems ridiculous. Why are the police controlling prices only but not quality? I would like to know what is the logic of holding a Ramazan bazaar if quality stuff is not available at affordable prices.
