I WANT to draw the authorities attention, especially the Punjab chief minister to the volatile situation of our village. I reside in Chak No.63/5-LTehsil of district Sahiwal near Qadirabad farm. There is a conflict over ponds in my village. The residents are divided into two groups on this issue.
One group of people has occupied some government lands including the pond. The sewage from houses used to be disposed of in this pond. The rival group has closed the drains. The sewage is flowing on the streets.
Both groups are adamant on their respective stance and unwilling to allow the pond to be used for sewage disposal. I fear the issue may turn to bloodshed if saner heads do not prevail.
I request the Punjab chief minister and all the quarters concerned to kindly take action and save the community from unnecessary violence.
