LAHORE: Lending its support to Pakistan Tehreek-iInsaf`s (PTPs) demand, PPP Punjab President Manzoor Wattoo said on Wednesday if rigging was proved in the four constituencies marked by Imran Khan, the May elections would become controversial.
`The government should not be reluctant to verify votes in the four constituencies,` Mr Wattoo told a press conference on Wednesday.
Former MPA Chaudhry Mushtaq Gujjar from Shiekhupura and former nazim Inamul Haq Dogar announced joining the PPP on the occasion.
Criticising the Metro Expressway Train project of Lahore, Mr Wattoo said the amount spent on the project could be enough for carpeting the road network of province.
He criticised the development strategy of the Punjab government to spend all resources of the province on the development of two roads of Lahore.
