Two brothers booked for `killing` man for money

SHEIKHUPURA: Police have booked two brothers for allegedly killing a young man of Ladoanian village in Nankana Sahib district, who had been missing for the last seven days.
As per Nankana Sahib Sadar police, Sajid (30), had left his home a week ago to withdraw Rs30,000 from a bank (in Nankana city) and went missing.
As per the FIR registered by the police on the complaint of Majid, the victim`s elder brother, Sajid was returning home after withdrawingthe amount from the bank, when two brothers -Irfan and Imran -of the same village, attempted to snatch money from him.
When Sajid put up resistance, the suspects murdered him with a sharp-edged weapon and later buriedhisbodyinthevillagegraveyard that was found by the gravedigger on Sunday.
The suspects were identified when they intimidated the gravedigger, telling him to keep his mouth shut. However, the gravedigger informed the victim`s family about the body and the suspects who went in hiding fearing arrest.
The police, after registering acase, were looking for the suspects.
In another incident, a young woman died, while her mother sustained serious injuries after the roof of their single-room house collapsed on them at Chal( No 115-GB in the limits of Sangla Hill police.
According to locals, Naila (28) and her mother Kaki Bibi were asleep in the room of their house when its roof suddenly caved in.
As a result, the mother and daughter were critically injured and were shifted to hospital where Naila was pronounced dead by the doctors.
Her mother`s condition is stated to be critical.
The police were investigating.
