ONE is at a loss to understand why the Rangers decided to hold the flag-lowering ceremony just the day after the act of terrorism committed at Wagah which resulted in the death of more than 60 men, women and children.

This is all the more surprising when only a few hours earlier, they had found an intact suicide vest at the same site. What if the vest had escaped detection and caused more casualties among the indiscreet people who had assembled to watch the ceremony?
