GUJRAT: A court on Thursday rejected an application seeking exhumation of Samia Shahid`s body and her reburial in the family graveyard of her second husband at Attock.

The application was filed by Mukhtar Kazim, the second husband of Samia, a British national of Pakistani origin who was killed for honour by her ex-husband and her other family members. Jhelum Magistrate Arslan Shah turned down the application.

The honour killing victim was buried by her family in their native graveyard at Pandoori village in Mangla police station precincts in Dina tehsil of Jhelum on July 21. Mangla police had lodged a murder case against five members of her family, including her parents, on the report of Mr Kazim on July 23.
