RAHIM YAR KHAN: The irrigation secretary has sought report from the Bahawalpur zone chief engineeraboutabsence of 13 executive engineers f rom duty.

Reports said 13 executive engineers (EXENs) of irrigation department from three districts of Bahawalpur division, including four from Rahim Yar Khan, were found absent from duty during office time.

According to letter No.S.O.(E-V)1-7/2020, the presence was checked on Feb 28, 2020 at 9.30am andEXENs Abdul Sattar, Shahid Javed, Munir Anjum, Saeed Warriach, Mahar Manzoor Hussain, Mubashir Majeed, Sheikh Tahir Javed,AbdulRehman Watoo, Sheikh Atifur Rehman, Umar Abrar Sadigia, Rashid Khan and their subordinate staff were notfoundin their offices.

The secretary said the officials did not only violate orders of the Punjab government about office duty but also failed to get compliance of orders from their subordinate staff.

`The secretaryirrigation has desired to direct you to explain your position in this regard within three days positively,` the letter says.
