Iran-returned pilgrims to be screened for coronavirus

BAHAWALPUR: The district health department will hold screening tests of 11 people, including women and children of some families, of Uch Sharif, who have recently returned from Iran.
Dawn learnt that the district health department would conduct their screening on the instructions of the Punjab health department.
A health department source said although the people coming from Iran would have to undergo screening tests but they (persons) were feeling better and there was no cause of anxiety. Screening will be held on Monday.
SARDAR ATTIQUE: Former prime minister of Azad Jammu andKashmir (AJK) Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan has said that the freedom movement in India-held Kashmir has gained momentum f rom the last year.
Talking to reporters, the ex-AJK prime minister said that it was a wrong impression that independence movement in India-held Kashmir had weakened and added that in the last year (since August 2019) the movement had become stronger with the sacrifices of Kashmiri people.
He said though the Kashmiris in Srinagar and other places in Indiaheld Kashmir were subjected to oppression, even then they (Kashmiris) were determined to defeat the Indian security forces.
He said despite oppression in Srinagar, local population alwaysdisplayed Pakistani flag in their demonstrations and protests, where Hurriayat leaders also appreciated Pakistan`s efforts to highlight the Kashmir dispute around the world.
CASE: Nowshehra Jadid police registered a case against 10 people, including two nominated, for allegedly subjecting to torture minor Adnan, whose video of torture went viral online on Saturday.
According to the police, DPO Sohaib Ashraf taking serious notice of the alleged torture of minor Adnan, ordered police to register a case against the peopleinvolvedin theincident.
In his complaint, Adnan, son of Ghaf f ar, stated that he was tortured by 10 people, including Muhammad Makki, and Tariq over the alleged snatching of mobile phone from one cyclist.
